What do I love?

A lot of things, but mainly... My crazy dogs, Marra & Benji. They are my world ( my husband Dan is up there too)

We love to spend our spare time (what little spare time we have together, he's a paramedic and works crazy hours saving the world and all that jazz) bushwalking with the dogs, drinking a morning coffee together, eating dinner at 5pm on the dot and spending the entire night binge watching movies on the lounge with the dogs. We're renovating our first home, don't mind a game of tennis and are chalk and cheese. Dan loves a beer, a glass of red, or any alcoholic liquid you can funnel down his throat. I'm not much of a drinker, I'm more of a watch Dan make a fool of himself and collect hilarious videos of him being a drunk idiot to humiliate him with later in life kinda gal.

My go to spotify playlists house the likes of Ziggy Alberts, Frank Ocean, Mac Miller and Chance The Rapper. I also LOVE Beau Taplin, and although I'm learning I'm rather horrendous at speaking French. Le cheval mange un croissant, apparently it means the horse is eating a croissant. Don't ask me why that's the first sentence I learnt but Dan is definitely sick of me walking around the house reciding it.

My Favourite Things

Here’s where you can delve further into your favourite things outside of wedding photography – everyone might be able to be a photographer, but there’s little quirks that make you unique – chat about that.

Maybe you can talk about your favourite hobbies, food, art or leisure activities. What you do to wind down when you’re not shooting – pets, your family, your hometown.

You can also use this opportunity to rehash your love for travelling – a great way for you to subtly remind them that you’re open to shooting destination weddings.

Remember to wrap up this section by tying it back into wedding photography. For example, “That’s a little sneak peek into my life and a few of my favourite things. No matter who and where we are, we’re all souls wandering this beautiful earth, with a different story to share. No tale is one and the same. And that’s why I LOVE documenting love stories (and hopefully yours too!)”

Behind The Lens

Uncover your overall approach to the day and an overview of your process. Help them picture what it’s like to have you there on the day and why what you do is so important. Mention how you’ll help them ensure the day flows smoothly, because you’ve had loads of experience at other weddings.

For example, talk about how you’ll arrive at first light to capture the mother-of-the-bride and the bridal squad helping the bride get ready. Or the groomsmen sneaking a few drinks to calm their nerves.

Chat about how you’ll turn up after one too many coffees, buzzing with energy to capture one of the most important, memorable days in their lives, and that you won’t miss a moment.

Write about documenting the getting ready prep through to ceremony, reception and afterparty (if relevant). How you’ll be there in the centre of it all or as a wallflower behind the scenes, photographing moments and details that they might’ve missed (e.g. Aunty Doris getting drunk on the d-floor). Whether you stick to purely candid shots or will pose them for styled shots.

Rain, hail or shine, I won’t miss a beat

A Little About Me

You're here, how fun!

I'm there to have fun with you, to help capture beautiful memories that you'll look back on and smile.

My photography style is relaxed and genuine. I'm here to capture you as you are, fun, crazy and unapologetically in love. My editing style can be described as a little bit of a film feel, like a 70's European summer holiday. I like to use a bit of grain in my images, I think it gives it the emotion of looking back on family photos.

My favourite thing about weddings is the fact that for one day, you are the world. Your love is the most important thing, the reason 100 people have gathered to celebrate, taken an entire day out of their lives, to celebrate the fact you have fallen in love.

If I sound like your kinda vibe, then keep on reading....

Not just a photographer, a visual storyteller for loved-up souls.

My approach to photographing couples is pretty relaxed. I like to let you do you, I LOVE to let you enjoy the day with your friends and family, I love to let your party the night away, and more than anything I love to surprise you with memories from little parts of the day you didn't know happened. I'll be there, capturing it all.

Now I know how it feels to have your photo taken, it seems scary. Unless you and your partner are professional models who nail portraits, you'll need a little direction. And that's totally fine, everyone does! So when you say you don't like posey stuff, I'll assume you mean you don't like serious, looking off into the distance in opposite directions kinda vibe. I'll assume you mean you want fun photos (that might require a little direction to get there) with belly laughs and real smiles.

We'll work together to make sure you have a blast, get beautiful photos, then you can scoot back to the party.

Us, the day we said I do!
