Ben Ean
Saturday 21st May 2022

Hannah & Jake's Ben Ean wedding started like every other Hunter Valley wedding over the past few months... watching the weather forecast praying the rain stays away, except these two were proactive and made their backup plan their main plan and locked the wet weather option in early which meant no stressing about the weather and spending the morning all boozy and relaxed.

I'm always happy when couples make plans for less than perfect weather because it makes my job easier, but even with those extra plans they made they probably needed them less than they thought they did, but at least they didn't need to stress about what might happen on the day!
It ended up being an absolute cracker of a day with so many laughs and some pretty awesome speeches.

We were treated to a hilarious ceremony by Wed By Steph in one of Ben Ean's function rooms, as soon as the ceremony finished we stuck our heads outside to see how bad the weather was and of course, it was clear skies. We scoffed a cheese platter, grabbed a few bottles of champagne and ran out for photos while we had the chance. 'The chance' turned out to be the rest of the afternoon. We jumped in the car and drove up to the top of the property underneath a giant fig tree that overlooks the valley where Jake, Hannah and their crew had a dance off to fill the time before we scooted back to the reception.

Jake & Hannah were so chill all day, they didn't fuss much about anything and nothing was an issue. Not Hannah's mud covered shoes as she trodded through the grass or Jake falling head first from a chair being held in the air.

One of the best dancefloors I've ever seen, congrats Jake & Hannah and thanks for an amazing day!
