I'm Kayla, a Hunter Valley based wedding photographer who gets a real kick out of documenting the realness and the closeness and the connection between two.
I love weddings, I really do. I love the shift of focus, where friends and family momentarily stop their lives to celebrate yours.I love when people feel comfortable enough to be the most genuine, unapologetic version of themselves, because that’s where all the magic happens. Creating candid, romantic photography for couples is my jam.
I think capturing special memories is a result of creating great experiences. I’m partial to making myself look like an idiot to see others smile, keeping conversation alive to make you feel comfortable and giving gentle direction, so you don’t have to guess what to do.
I'm a no bullshit kind of person, I say the first thing that comes to my mind and overthink it for the rest of the day. I like immature jokes, I show love through sarcasm and name calling yet I'm weirdly sensitive. I cry at the drop of a hat and seeing strangers happy brings me to tears. Your great step aunt Mildred could shed a tear and I'll hit the floor. It's a Cancer thing, we're a mess.

I'm a big believer in no two weddings are the same, therefore no two galleries are the same. We'll have a chat about your style, preferences and fave photos of mine to decide the best approach for you guys.

I have always been creatively minded and had a
deep love for true connection between humans, the unabashed real type of connection.
I believe, at the end of the day, these true moments, even the smallest ones, are what mean the most. Weddings are filled with these tiny moments and the fact that I get to capture them, stop time and hand them onto you to be remembered forever means more than you may ever know.
I'm big on making sure we're a good fit for each other, investing in your photographer is a big decision, I want to fully understand your vision and deliver the images of your dreams, working together to create tangible memories you'll look back on over your lifetime.

here's the final unveiling. Your gallery will be in your hot little hands within 6 weeks of your wedding. If 6 weeks is too long I offer a $1000 rush fee to move your gallery to the top of my workflow and have your images to you within 14 days.
Once you've chosen your favourite images we'll design your album together, encapsulating all your favourite moments. A generational treasure to be shared for the years to come.
