Newcastle Rooftop Elopement

This inner city elopement was a collab between a bunch of talented ladies to launch the latest collection by Luna Joy. The brief was Inner City Chic, with a bit of party.

With these shoots it usually starts with a vibe, a dress, a focal point, and things grow from there. For this shoot the focal point was the Luna joy mini dress, everything else developed from this one item. We knew the flowers had to be classic, something chic and simple. The dress and veil are show stoppers, so the rest had to be simple. The 60's sling back pointed to heel made a grand entrance last minute, and honestly it wouldn't have been the same without it.

Makeup By Bonnie Lee was given the vibe and took it ten steps further with a soft winged liner and coral lipstick on our glamazon model Jess. The hair was a low loose bun cradled by vintage gold hoop earrings.

Another last minute addition was the ghost chairs by Casa Estilo. Char from Casa Estilo is a creative whiz, she creates in home table stying for intimate dinner parties, big and small. Char rustled up some ghost chairs, and anything else just wouldn't have cut it after seeing those chairs sitting on the rooftop carpark.

The cherry on top of this red velvet beauty was the suit by Rundles Tailoring. A black dinner suit with an open white collared shirt, no tie of course (cause this is a party after all)

Any photographer will tell you we don't shoot in full sun, but the sun on Jess's skin and bold vibrant colours are what makes this shoot so cool, so thank you for that one mother nature.

The fun thing about shoots like this is the freedom to be creative with the edits, so you'll see some vintage film vibes thrown in there for fun, they ended up being my favourites.

If you're planning a wedding I DEMAND you to be bold with your style, I know a pretty cute rooftop we can hang out at...
